PostSubject: Birmingham pirate radio from 80's - 90's   Tue Jan 26, 2010 6:58 am

Looking for any old Powah FM, PCRL or other Birmingham based pirate radio recordings from mid-late 80's & 90's.
Used to have loads, but they got recorded over :-(

Thanks, Steely.

i only just see this post 4yrs after u posted but i got a few old Frontline Radio tapes somewhere here from around 1994 mainly roots revival shows with a little dancehall but i need to get one of those mp3 converters to digitize to mp3, been meaning to do it for years now as some nice shows on them tapes, many memories for me on them, they been played to death back in the day! the quality of them is not A1 as it was a pirate broadcast and i was a long way from where they where located tuning in using a huge ariel just to pick up the show each night so the signal would sometimes fade in and out depending on weather conditions. I'll upload them when i get chance to pickup a converter and digitize.

sorry for late reply only just seen it, they where from Birmingham Frontline not manchester, dj's like sugar love, miss p, i forget who else now, i had a big bag full of old cassette tapes and pulled about 4-5 frontline tapes out and put them seperate to keep them safe for digitizing and haven't seen them since but i do have them somewhere just need to figure out where i put them and which box they went into, i even bought the convertor to do the job, i will post back here when they do turn up whenever that maybe.
There is one good frontline birmingham link on youtube: (the only one i ever found, if u know of anymore pls post)
