Brother Culture from Revelation and MC Trooper from Revelation and now Vibes FM, Ragga Dan (reincarnated as Darrison the DnB DJ) and loads that I cant even remember, who im sure will remind me if they see this, were often on hand for mc duties and our
singer was Reuben da Silva who is lately appearing on quite a few mix. Wicked voice.
Buried more than one sound back in th day who came to Brighton with wrong attitude.
..ah, its Just a 'country sound'', take a couple of box, and a box of records... and come face to face with
4 18"electro voice 1000 watt bass bins, 4 15'mid range tops chippers. Enough Studio One
to play or a week, Culture djing, and Reuben singing, and a large biased crowd haha.
Age and time and countries separated us, but we all still keep in touch. Culture stayed here last summer
with me, and Reubans daughter more rcently...met some family last weekend.
Ive met Bob Marley. Imagine that. Greatest day of my life, or rather the 2nd according to my daughter.
What does she know...shes young. She will learn.
We were the backing sound for most of reggae concerts in Brighton for over 20 years, and met most artist.
Freddie McGregor even did a concert for free for my missus who was chairman of Brighton Anti Apartheid at the time
as a fund raiser.

I miss those days, although, saying that, I remember thinking ....thats the end of reggae as we know it...the first
time I heard sleng teng.
Right. Im shutting now. Hope people enjoy some of the music ive posted.
Ill post some more stuff when I get the energy. Even some Tafari dance when we finally track down a few tapes.
